For FHE tonight, we read Elder Nelson's talk on marriage. I am very grateful for the blessing of an eternal family and look forward to the resurrection when all will be restored. We also skimmed Sister Thompson's as we read it back in Dec. Elder Eyring did a great job with the sustainings.
Elder Nelson talked about God's Plan of Happiness. As Mom read the talk I thought about the challenges we face today. I am grateful that we have a solid plan to look to and understand that in the end the King will rule our earth, His Kingdom.
On Sister Thompson's talk I noted that she commented that it was enough to just be of service...we don't need to go a long way out of our way to find an opportunity to serve. I guess I'll go out and blow our snow and maybe a neigbor's.
As for the sustaining. I was interested to see that the sustaining of Pres Monson as a prophet seer and revelator was the same language as for the First Presidency and Quorium of 12. I read somewhere that Pres. Monson was sustained as the Prophet and the 12 (14) were sustained with a different reference. Anyone else ever hear that?
